Mark Zajac is a graphic design, illustrator and artist. Although he has been in the field for 15 years, he took a sabbatical in 2013 and served in the Peace Corps in Jamaica. Mark spent over two years in service as an agricultural and environmental advisor. He considered it to be a challenging experience, but an incredibly rewarding one as well.
Mark is a proponent in kaizen philosophy. Kaizen is a Japanese word for "improvement." When it comes to design and business, Mark believes in making incremental and steady improvement daily. He understands the importance of goal setting, being humble and fully embracing a "growth mindset"; a minset that is brilliantly explained in Carol Dweck's book, "Mindset."
Currently Mark is focusing on branding identity and digital marketing. In order to keep his perspective fresh and his Adobe Illustrator chops sharp, he recently volunteered to participate in a 50 day logo challenge. You can see the results of the challenge from the link in the above menu.
